The first meeting to discuss a Kansas City solution to raising the minimum wage will be held Monday, June 1, from 3 – 5 p.m. at the Kansas City Health Department, 2400 Troost Ave., Mayor Sly James said.
It is anticipated that the stakeholders’ group will meet weekly to develop a minimum-wage plan for City Council consideration by July 16, a deadline set during a council meeting on May 21.
Mayor James has invited both proponents and opponents of raising the minimum wage to attend.
