(Kansas City, Mo.) — On Wednesday morning, Water Services Director Terry Leeds will be joined by Mayor Sly James and other City officials for a ceremonial groundbreaking for the First and Second Creek Sewer Expansion Project. Once completed, the $40 million dollar project, which will create over 700 direct and indirect construction-related jobs, will open 13,000 acres of undeveloped land in Kansas City’s Northland to future development, which is ultimately expected to attract more than 70,000 residents.
