STATEMENT FROM KANSAS CITY MAYOR SLY JAMES:

“I applaud Senator Silvey’s efforts to bring a close to the costly Border War,” said Mayor James. “The ball is now in our neighbors’ court and I encourage them to see that we can only succeed as a region when we work side-by-side rather than against each other.  Moving jobs from one side of the state line to the other does little to make our community stronger.  I ‘m ready to build a stronger region and I am hopeful that Governor Brownback’s decision will allow us to work together to do so.”
