You’re invited! We have a great deal to be excited about Kansas City! As we welcome our friends to town for the Big 12 tournament, it is easy to see what a vibrant and energetic city we have become.
Even as we celebrate our successes, it is not like us to sit back and relax. There is still much to be done to make Kansas City best. Together, we can continue to press our advantage and push the city we love to new heights.
It is my pleasure to invite you to the 2012 State of the City Address. This year, we will move the speech outside of City Hall to the crown jewel of our civic buildings, the Kansas City Convention Center Ballroom. Overlooking the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, I will lay out my vision for moving our city forward in a responsible and progressive way.
The speech will take place Monday, March 19, 2012, almost a year to the day of my election to this office. The festivities will begin at 10:30 am, in the Kansas City Ballroom, located at the corner of Wyandotte and 14th Street. Transit access is available on the KCATA Main Street Max (Orange Line) with a stop directly outside the doors.
